Adult Literacy Classes Reach Women In Ways You May Not Expect

Did you know we currently have 523 women enrolled in our adult literacy classes in Kenya? Recently, the women in Kamatumo were asked to share what they have gotten out of the class since joining. They said:

Learning how to read and write more English
Learning how to do math problems to manage finances and get correct change from transactions
Understanding medical words to help get care at the clinic
Paying children’s school fees thanks to income-generating projects
Relieving stress by having a chance to talk about family issues with other women
Starting a small business thanks to the support of her class members
