WGEP invites you to the first-ever Back to School at LOULOU event on Thursday, October 10! Come and enjoy a family-style dinner, wine, and good conversation. The special guest, Casimir Coly (Senegal Program Coordinator), will share his WGEP experience and participate in a short Q&A. This event will be held at LOULOU, the new annex of Lula Café, the winner of the 2024 James Beard Award for Outstanding Hospitality.

WGEP is thrilled to celebrate International Day of the Girl with our Goodwill Ambassador, Abi Daré, the internationally bestselling author of “The Girl with the Louding Voice.” On Friday, October 11, join us for an exclusive Hybrid Book Club event as Abi launches her new novel, “And So I Roar.”
We are hosting this event in partnership with Semicolon Bookstore – Chicago’s largest Black-woman-owned bookstore! The event will take place at Semicolon’s West Town location in Chicago. Guests will enjoy a selection of wine and appetizers while conversing with Abi Daré as she joins us live from London via Zoom.
