On Thursday, October 1st, 2020, we will host our first ever Ndajee at Home, a virtual fundraising benefit to support girls' education and empowerment in rural Senegal & Kenya! This year's event will honor our friend, Sue Crothers, for her incredible contributions to WGEP as board chair, supporter, and advocate.
While the ongoing pandemic has affected our ability to host the event in-person, the critical need to invest in girls' education and gender equality has remained unchanged. Our communities are facing significant economic hardships, food insecurity, and challenges related to distance learning caused by COVID-19. We have set a goal to raise $175,000 to ensure that we can continue to adapt our programs to support our communities’ urgent needs related to COVID-19, as well as support 800 girls with school scholarships, leadership training, and academic support.
