Can't Attend Ndajee? You Can Still Make an Impact!
Even if you can't join us this year, you can still be part of this incredible movement. Your donation helps us continue empowering girls through education, ensuring they have the resources and opportunities to thrive. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference.
At this year’s Ndajee, we are thrilled to honor Suzanne Kanter as our Impact Awardee! Suzanne first connected with WGEP in 2006 and has since been a passionate supporter of our mission, especially the Alternative Rite of Passage program in Kenya. A former litigator and law professor, Suzanne brings her deep commitment to education, health, and equity to everything she does—whether hosting fundraisers, mentoring students, or leading community initiatives. She’s supported organizations like Link Unlimited, Evanston Scholars, and SHE-CAN, co-founded a program at the Rohingya Cultural Center, and helped raise over $350,000 for rare cancer research through Cycle for Survival.

We are thrilled to announce our Keynote Speaker for Ndajee 2025: Diana Mwendwa Mati! A former WGEP scholar and now a vibrant educator, Diana is a shining beacon of hope and inspiration in her Tharaka community. Employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), she teaches Agriculture and Biology at Kamarandi Mixed Day Secondary School, where she sows seeds of knowledge and nurtures young minds with passion and purpose.

Diana’s remarkable educational journey was made possible through the unwavering support of the Tharaka Women Welfare Program, in partnership with the Women’s Global Education Project—a gift she now honors by giving back to the very community that uplifted her.

Diana goes beyond the classroom with a heart full of gratitude and determination. She serves as a dedicated facilitator in annual Alternative Rite of Passage workshops, where she empowers girls to pursue their education and courageously reject the harmful practice of Female Genital Mutilation.

Diana’s story is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of education, resilience, and compassionate leadership.
